NOTE: Stars trail because comet moves during multiple exposures taken over 23 minutes. Bluish ion tail is straight and twisting; brownish dust tail fans out to the right. Greenish nucleus. These colors were noticeable in photos taken all over the world, but not to the naked eye.br/ EQUIPMENT: Takahashi Epsilon 160 and Canon 5DIII on EM1 mount. Average combine of 111 x 10sec images. Mount tracked stars, but to make this combine, images were stacked aligned on the comet nucleus in each image.br/ br/ PLACE: Carlisle, Mass. Comet set from ~15 degrees high in NNW, for an hour and more after sunset. See movie.
